JIMMY Oates said being named Hereford FC players' player-of-the year means everything.

The bulls right-back also picked the supporters' player-of-the-year as well as the HUST equivalent.

"For the players to think I have done a lot this year means a lot," said Oates.

"Sometimes you get overlooked but Joel [Edwards] and I have had the opportunity to make a big impact this year with the way we play.

"It was good to get recognised."

Oates will definitely be at Edgar Street next season after committing his future to the Bulls.

"It will be good to get a little break, but I can't wait to get stuck in next year," said Oates.

"It means a lot to get that opportunity."

Hereford were presented with the Southern League Division One South & West title following the 4-0 win against Winchester.

And Oates says it is still surreal that he is able to lift trophies in front of 4,000 plus fans.

"I never thought I would get the opportunity to do that," he said.

"To win any league means a lot, but to do it in front of these great supporters means everything."
