BARNARDS Green progressed to the quarter-final of Birmingham League’s T20 Challenge Cup after a 19-run victory over Kidderminster.
Tom Banks led from the front as he scored an impressive 65 off just 51 balls including six fours and three sixes.
After being bowled by Liam Weston, Ash Brewer (21) and Jon Dovey (37) then saw out to remaining balls as Green finished on 167-3.
Neil Pinner set the tone for Kidderminster as he scored 45 of their first 50 runs.
Jack Mackintosh made the breakthrough when he clean bowled Michael Mitchell (10).
Tight bowling from Blair Kingsland and Monzur Ahmed stemmed the flow of runs and the pressure told as Pinner holed out to Ryan Tongue off Monzur Ahmed.
His 92 came off just 50 balls and included 12 fours and three sixes.
With wickets tumbling, Weston and Sam Beadsworth needed to hit 38 off the last two overs.
After Dovey ran out Beadsworth (1), Weston (15) could only hit one boundary as Kidderminster closed on 148-7.
Green, who host Leamington in the league on Saturday (noon), will take on the winner of Barnt Green and Old Elizabethans in the last eight.
