HANLEY Castle and Upton kept alive hopes of clinching the Worcestershire League Division Four title with a three-wicket win over leaders Bromsgrove.
Tony Hutchings did the damage once again for the hosts as he took 6-18 in a stunning bowling display at The Glebe. Lewis Hobbs picked up 2-19 while Josh Benson-Smith and Rory Mathews also chipped in with a wicket apiece as Bromsgrove were skittled for 95.
The victory did not come without a wobble, though, as Hobbs, Rory Mathews, Matthew Pratley, Charlie Tippell, Andy Brown and Benson-Smith all failed to make double figures.
But 24 not out from Grant Mathews as well as contributions from Daniel Powell (16) and Hutchings (10 not out) steered Hanley home.
Hanley, who are 18 points behind Bromsgrove, travel to Claverley on Saturday (12.30pm).
In Division Three, Malvern, who lost by eight wickets to Netherton last Saturday, host Rushwick on Saturday (12.30pm).
