HANLEY Swan returned to action with a 6-1 home win over Bredon Reserves in Cheltenham League Division Two.

In an even start, Ash Bloore and Tom Morris could not convert early Hanley chances while Kevin Moore hit the bar.

Bredon went ahead against the run of play with a low shot into the bottom corner.

Jamie Heason replaced the injured Chris Bunn and settled well at the heart of the defence.

Hanley equalised just before half-time when good play from Bloore and Cathal McTernan set up Blake Bishop to score from close range.

With minutes to go until the break, Bishop saw another shot cannon off the bar. Moore had a few second-half efforts before he scored with a low shot into the corner to give the hosts the lead.

Hanley’s Jack Humphreys helped Hanley control the midfield and they went further ahead when Bloore finished from an acute angle following a good run.

A few saves from Nick Rogers kept the lead intact before a run and cross by Mark Thomas was met first time by Adam Webb who put the game beyond doubt.

Chris Shuard made it 5-1 before Luke Duffett netted the sixth from close range.
