THE marathon season has started for Malvern Joggers.
The Manchester Marathon was on a fast, flat course that finished at Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire County Cricket Club.
With 15,000 runners competing, Joggers' Steve Roode finished in four hours two minutes 12 seconds, Jason Protheroe 4.46.13 and Viv Tolley 5.24.38.
The rescheduled Forest of Dean Trails Half Marathon was used by Rhian Protheroe as a warm-up event for London.
She finished with coach Nic Dauncey in 2.02.52.
The first Jogger to finish was Ian Dyson in 1.48.18 while Catherine Martin did 1.55.55.
Julia Heron was holidaying in Ibiza and did a 12k contest on a hot evening in 1.09.
Joggers sent a team to the Kymin Dash organised by The Spirit of Monmouth Running Club.
The club champions league race saw Dauncey clock 50.26, Mike Bolton 59.33, Claire Haynes 1.02.25, Julie Caseley 1.03.51, Alison Priest 1.04.49, Mike Anstey 1.10.31 and Lynda Broadway 1.16.53.
