HANLEY Swan’s David Dennis hopes to create a surprise at tomorrow’s Randox Health Grand National.
The Dennis-trained Final Nudge makes the final 40 for the famous Aintree contest at 5.15pm and is priced at around 50-1.
Gavin Sheehan will be aboard the nine-year-old, owned by Corbett Stud and Andrew George, who boasts seven wins from 24 jumps races.
A third place in January’s Coral Welsh Grand National Handicap Chase gives some hope.
The Irish-bred gelding followed up with a fifth at Sandown and ninth in the Cheltenham Festival’s Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup Amateur Riders’ Handicap Chase over the last few months.
Dennis believes the wet spring will not be a disadvantage to his runner.
