BRANSFORD’S Ollie Walker has made a superb start to the summer season.

The one-handicapper starred in the May medal with the lowest gross of 70 which included one eagle, three birdies and 11 pars.

But Walker only just took top spot by one shot from Chris Eyers (5 handicap) with 75 including 15 pars.

Adrian Bond scored 85 gross 13 handicap 72 nett.

In Division Two, Jason Beck (15) returned 90 just ahead of Lee Tally with 93-17=76 while Pete Sheppard finished on 95-15=80.

Andy Lammas won the May Stableford on 38 ahead of Alan Ford on 34 and Jack Cullity on 32.

Jason Keane claimed Division Two with 37 from Adrian Barber on 35 and Jenny Bennett on 34.

Bransford seniors returned to winning ways in their summer club matches by beating visitors Leominster 5-2.

After the first four matches it was all-square but Bransford won the three remaining.

Dave Miller (17) and Andrew Jarvis (23) won 6&5, Mark Heason (13) and Gordon White (26) 5&3, Graham Wilks (17) and Roger Clark (23) two-up, Dave Randle (20) and Peter Harrison (24) 4&3 and Andy Falconer (26) and Rob Blake (15) 3&2.

Lee Dyment (19) and Alan Wallcroft (23) lost 4&3 and Mike Davidge (17) and John Phillips (20) one-down.
