SIX-time world champion Mark Foster is bringing his one-day swimming camp back to Malvern on Friday, June 1.

Foster will also be joined by Katy Sexton, the first British female to win a World Championship title, for the class at Malvern Active's Malvern College Sports Complex.

The duo will share their techniques with young, aspiring swimmers from around the three counties.

Top strength and conditioning coaches, nutritionists and sports science experts will also form part of the coaching team.

Children between the ages of nine and 18 will be coached on all aspects from improving stroke technique, speed and endurance, to advanced land training, fitness, strength and flexibility programmes, as well as motivation, self-belief, race preparation and tips on nutrition.

Rob Young, operations manager at Malvern Active, said: "We’re delighted to welcome the Mark Foster Swimming Academy back to Malvern Active.

“The last camp held here attracted more than 50 young talented swimmers, most of whom already swam at club level or above and who found the whole experience hugely valuable."

Foster's initiative has inspired thousands of children around the UK to achieve the best level of swimming they can by using fun and informative teaching techniques to engage youngsters and their parents, who are also invited to come along and observe.
