LITTLE separated the bags of fish caught by the top two anglers in the Fitzwater Cup at Hartleton Lake near Ross-On-Wye.
First place went to match secretary Richard Webster who caught small fish steadily and added a bonus bream to amass a weight of 12lb 15oz.
Webster fished single bronze maggot over black groundbait mixed with dead maggots and casters.
Paul Lane came second with 11lb 1oz of small fish after fishing single red maggot over groundbait and pellets using a size 18 hook attached to a 2lb 6oz hook-length.
Lee Harman clinched third spot with 8-10-10. He fished a single red maggot over groundbait in the early stages but tempted more fish using white maggot for the second part of the match.
Webster, Lane and Harman were among 12 Malvern United Angling Association anglers that took part in the float, rod and reel competition.
