MALVERN Town have retained the services of potent frontmen Matthew Turner and Joshua Hunt for the 2018-19 campaign.

The duo scored 52 goals between last season as Town finished in third position in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.

The news come after forward Kyonn Evans who also boosted Malvern’s goal tally decided to make the switch to county rivals Worcester City.

Turner who hit the back of the net 26 times in the league said he was delighted to be part of a new era at Town who recently appointed Lee Hooper and Dene Whittal-Williams as joint managers.

“I am happy to have signed on for the new season,” Turner said.

“The club is moving in the right direction and it is an exciting time to be involved.

“I am looking forward to working with the new management team and continuing to make progress and build on where I left off.

“I can’t wait for the new season to get underway now.”

After joining from Wellington during the course of last term, Hunt made an instant impact as he also bagged 26 league goals.

Hunt added: “I am pleased to have re-signed for the club.

“I firmly believe that we can push for the title this season.”
