MALVERN Town co-manager Lee Hooper wants his side to maintain their standards to knock higher-ranked Boldmere St Michaels out of the FA Cup on Tuesday (7.45pm).

The sides meet at the HDanywhere Community Stadium for the extra preliminary round replay after Saturday's 2-2 draw.

Forward Joshua Hunt twice fired West Midlands League side Town ahead but their Midland League Premier Division opponents levelled both times.

Hooper said: “The lads put in a great shift. I am super proud of them and even after conceding a late equaliser we refused to let our heads drop and created chances to win it at the death.

“Everyone played their part. It was a real team effort and the supporters were superb with the backing they gave us throughout.

“The replay will be tough but we’ve set some high standards and we’ll be looking to reach those again.

“We’ll go into the game in confident mood. There are things we have to work on but we’re looking forward to getting back out there.”

Hunt said: "The boys were superb. We worked really well as a team and got our tactics spot-on.

“We were a threat from set-pieces and for me it was nice to be back in action and score twice.

“We went there with the mindset to win the game. We were bright right from the start and now we’ll see what Tuesday brings.

“Hopefully there’ll be some more FA Cup magic and we can get through into the next round.

“My aim is to get 35 goals this season so it’s a case of two down 33 to go!”
