JANE Quick won The Worcestershire's Carrington Cup with 66 nett.

She won August Medal Division Two, edging out Sandra Schofield, Pauline Savage, Fiona Lucas and Christine Goody who were all under-par.

As the firm dry conditions suited some but not others, Jill Piner won Division One with 69 from Cathy Harris on 73 and June Jones on 74.

Marie Willis won the nine-hole stableford on countback from Pauline Taylor with both on 19 points.

An 18-hole medal played from the white tees was won by junior Finlay Milton with 64 nett as his handicap was cut to 11.

The Worcestershire men's A Team lost 3½-2½ at Worcester Golf and Country Club in the league.

Mark Read (4) and Phil Birch (6) won two-up and Paul Wakely (12) and Josh Marshall (6) one-up while Dave Marshall (1) and Steve Carter (10) halved.

There were defeats for Andy McCabe (4) and Andy Perkins (11), Tom Davies (5) and Brian Kendall (11) and Andy Dunster (6) and Ali Renton (8).

The Worcestershire ladies drew at home in Bransford's first visit.

Jenny Musson and Pauline Savage won against Pauline Wetton and Trish Godwin while Joyce Duncan and Sue Crossley lost to June Atkinson and Sue Thornley.

Julia Radley and June Jones drew against Cynthia Holmes and Barbara Ramsden as did Janet Manning-Cox and Brenda Jones against Eye Lynes and Coral Handley.

The Worcestershire seniors drew at Broadway.

Captain Andy Peet and Ron Barker won 5&4, Les Facer and James Noon one-up and Stan Jones and Terry Cox 6&4.

But there were 2&1 defeats for Keith Hitchcock and Phil Bayliss, Ron Gordon and Tony Cox and Barry Caswell and Tim Keates.

The Worcestershire beat visitors Kington 6-0.
