Thick saves a dominant Town

LEDBURY TOWN 3, GOODRICH 2.

LEDBURY had to thank keeper Clinton Thick for this tense victory after he pulled off a string of fine late saves for his side.

A Lee Hooper brace and an Oly Endacott strike steered Ledbury to a win following a dominant first-half display.

Ledbury went one up within two minutes of the match when a corner from Stuart Hall was glanced in by Hooper.

They went further ahead on 10 minutes when Endacott ghosted into the box to head home.

But Ledbury sat back on their lead and allowed Goodrich to attack and pull one back.

This strike spurred Ledbury and on 30 minutes Hooper secured his brace to leave his side 3-1 up at the interval.

The home side could have added to their lead at the start of the second period but failed to find the target.

This allowed Goodrich to take control of the game and score with five minutes remaining.

Ledbury held on in the tense closing moments as keeper and man-of-the-match Thick pulled off a host of saves to secure the points.
