TERRY Jenkins' play-off hopes were dealt a major blow after losing 8-5 to Peter Manley.
The game was played in front of a bumper crowd of almost 8,000 at the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts in Liverpool.
But it wasn't all plain sailing for Manley who was 3-1 down after a thrilling start from the Ledbury star, including finishes of 137 and 114.
Manley then won seven of the final nine legs to take victory from a superb contest which had six 100-plus finishes.
Jenkins failed to retain his crown at last Saturday's Antwerp Darts Trophy, losing 3-0 in the fourth round to Mark Dudbridge.
He was set to play Wayne Mardle last night (Thursday) at London's Wembley Arena in the latest round of Premier League matches.
