DYSON Perrins Academy conquered windy, cold conditions to win the under 16s district tournament.

The year 11 pupils beat Evesham High 4-3, Pershore High 5-3, Hanley Castle High 7-1 and The Chase 6-4 before drawing 8-8 with Malvern St James.

Sophie Witherford, Amy Taylor, Lucy Capener, Laura Morton, Jess Morton, Jess Lawrence, Amy Miller, Becky Lockton, Amber Woodcock, Katy Woodcock and Alesha Fallows made up the squad.

The school in Yates Hay Road, Malvern, are starting a netball academy in September alongside their current football set-up.
