Swan storm joint top

HANLEY Swan went joint top of Cheltenham League Division Three with a 5-0 hammering of Andoversford.

The combination of an inspired away keeper and poor finishing kept the scores level at half-time.

Hanley continued to press from the restart but missed more good chances to go ahead when it looked easier to score.

The deadlock was eventually broken when Cathal McTernan slotted the ball home.

Within a minute, good work from Andy Rogers set up Jon Palmer to score a second for Hanley.

Rogers made it 3–0 and Ollie Lewis added a fourth before a tiring Andoversford conceded the final goal to James Beale.

Hanley’s next league game is at Belmore on Saturday (3pm).
