FORMER world downhill mountainbiking champion Tracy Moseley was the star attraction at the Back on Track Bash Series opener at Oaken Coppice, Storridge.

The 32-year-old Malvern rider took top spot in the women’s elite category in a family double.

Her brother Ed Moseley, also representing Malvern Cycle Sport, claimed the spoils in the elite men’s category.

Harry Sowden powered to victory in the youth boys’ section, while Matthew Thompson was first to finish in the juniors’ category. Malvern’s Harrison Webb was fourth.

The juvenile boys’ title was landed by Malvern rider Ryan Williamson and Chris Slinger was the winner of the fun section.

Josh Brooks was sixth among 14 more experienced riders in the men’s section after finishing in the same spot in the youth race despite breaking his chain early on and taking time out to fix it.

The next round of the series is on Sunday, April 29, at Top Barn Farm, Holt Heath, near Worcester.
