Angling: Harris is winner of Club Cup

CATCH OF THE DAY: Dave Harris lines up with his haul after securing Malvern United Association’s Club Cup.
MALVERN United Angling Association members competed for their Club Cup at the Withes pool that is part of the Evesham Jubilee fishery.
Dave Harris benefitted from a more secluded peg and caught carp of about three pounds consistently finished with a winning weight of 23-8-0.
In second place was Mike Cooper who, after a blank first half of the match, started to catch with increasing regularity towards the end of the match to weigh in 16-4-0.
Richard Gilks also started to catch some carp towards the end of the match to come third with 9-6-0.
Mick Harris included bream of over 3lbs in his fourth-placed 8-6-0.
