WORCESTER Nomads picked up a second consecutive Worcestershire Cricket League Division One win with an eight-wicket triumph.

Innocent Kaia (49 not out) and Richard Henry (38no) led the Bransford side home on 177-2 in reply to 175 from Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social.

Meanwhile, Bromyard struggled as they lost by 46 runs to Belbroughton.

Michael Reece took 4-33 in the hosts’ 174 all out but their batting flopped to 128 all out with only Jeremy Leighton (40no) and James Hine (26) troubling the scorers.

Malvern held on for a losing draw at Wormelow in Division Two, with 124-8 in reply to 229-9.

Neil Thompson took 4-29.

Eastnor suffered an agonising one-wicket loss to Wombourne in Birmingham and District Premier League Division Two.

Extras proved their downfall as Wombourne were gifted 45 wides. The visitors looked vulnerable at 106-4 as they looked to overhaul Eastnor’s 189 all out.

Despite Raheel Lone (4-38) chipping in with late wickets, Wombourne squeezed over the line on 193-9 with two balls left.

Asked to bat on losing the toss, Eastnor fell from 130-3 to 138-6.
