ALL-ROUNDER Georgia Hennessy is hoping to “go one better” in the women’s Kia Super Cricket League as she bids for glory with Western Storm.
The Malvern ace faces Surrey Stars at Hove in the semi-finals tomorrow (2.30pm) as Storm aim to secure a meeting with Southern Vipers in the final (6pm).
Her dad John Hennessy said: “They lost in last year’s final (to Southern Vipers) so Georgia is looking to go one better this time.
"The tournament is only in its second year so she been doing really well.”
Storm, who are skippered by England captain Heather Knight, lost their tournament opener against Vipers before beating Loughborough Lightning and thrashing Yorkshire Diamonds by 10 wickets.
The Gloucestershire side went down by 52 runs to Surrey but hit back with a five-wicket victory over Lancashire Thunder to progress to the last four.
Hennessy’s highest score came against Stars when she hit 28 off 25 balls.
