BROMYARD bid to improve on last season’s eighth place in Worcestershire Cricket Club League Division Two.

The first XI, captained by Edd Oliver, have re-signed South African Josh van Rensburg, 20, as their overseas player after a promising season in 2016.

Bromyard will look to Oliver, teenager Rob Willlis, Zahid Saeed and all-rounder van Rensburg for their runs.

They hope George Leighton, James Owens and Ed Smith are available for the second half of the season.

Ben Whittenbury has returned from Worcester Nomads.

Mike Reece leads the second XI who look to bounce back after relegation to Division Three.

The third XI, under Graham Godsall, were promoted to Division Seven and will continue to be a family affair with five fathers and sons alongside promising juniors.

Senior nets are every Wednesday from 6pm until 8pm at Flaggoners Green.

Registration and kit night for the junior section is on Thursday, May 3, from 6.30pm until 8pm.

Bromyard run five age group sides in under nines, 11s, 13s, 15s and 19s.
