Swan fire six to edge near top

HANLEY Swan moved to within four points of the Cheltenham Association League leaders with a game in hand following a 6-0 win at Northleach Town.

The visitors put early pressure on and Richard Foley scored with a low shot after seven minutes following a good run.

A step-over by Cathal Mc- Ternan sent Dave Schooling free and his cross was blasted home by Andy Rogers from close range.

More good work from Schooling resulted in a defender scoring an own goal on 25 minutes.

Schooling buried a cracker to give Hanley a comfortable 4-0 lead soon after.

Early in the second-half, Schooling scored his second after linking up with Rogers.

The final goal came midway through the half when a determined McTernan run ended with Rogers hitting the target again.
