LEIGH and Bransford Badgers Spurs marked their return to action after almost two months with a 7-0 win over St John’s Colts United.

The Mercian Festival Junior League Under 13s success was kicked off by centre-half Josiah Heath’s fierce drive from a Joel Stubbins cross. Spurs led 3-0 by half-time through Sam Hawthorn and Ross Grimshaw’s first goal for the club.

Heath, Hawthorn, Hayden Bell and Dan Medakovic added to the tally in the second period.
