Chairman Cullen quits
12:44pm Friday 16th August 2013 in Football
MALVERN Town are looking for a new chairman just a week into the new West Midlands Football League Premier Division season.
Stan Cullen, who took up the post for a second time last August, has resigned from the Langland Stadium club board along with acting vice-chairman Chris Stephens.
Their departures are thought to be down to business commitments and have come at a crucial time off the field as the club seek to sell their stadium and move to a new ground.
Town have called their annual general meeting for 8pm on Sunday, September 8, when they hope to elect replacements for Cullen and Stephens.
Anyone interested in helping the club can call Marg Scott on 01905-831327.
Town have lost their first two Premier Division games 3-1 at Shifnal last Saturday and 5-2 at home to Wellington on Wednesday.
They host Bilston tomorrow (3pm) before visiting Bromyard Town on Tuesday (7.45pm).
