MALVERN’S Newtown Sports Juniors won the inaugural Worcestershire FA County Youth Under 12s Development League Cup final.
Played at Dyson Perrins Academy’s new 3G football pitch in Yates Hay Road, Malvern, Juniors scored three second-half goals through Josh Theakston (2) and Elliot Cresswell.
They overcame a determined Kidderminster Lions 3-1 to lift the county cup.
Meanwhile, Newtown Sports Juniors under 14s are actively seeking new players to join this season.
A club spokesman said: “The coach is FA-qualified at level three (UEFA ‘B’) and provides a safe environment for children to develop their football skills.”
Interested players can ask their parents to contact Danny on 07883-042287 to arrange to take part in training.
