A FILM highlighting the feeling of disillusioned Hereford United fans has started to take social media by storm.

Former club press officer Jamie Griffiths has produced the video which details the plight of the Edgar Street club from the viewpoint of supporters.

Many have boycotted matches in protest at the way the Southern League Premier Division outfit is being run, centring around the ongoing involvement of former majority shareholder Tommy Agombar, despite him failing the Football Association’s owners and directors test.

The short film carries emotive footage of loyal fans urging the authorities to act on the situation and has already been viewed thousands of times online.

It is the latest in a string of public protests and its release coincided with around 200 Bulls fans travelling with banners to Kidderminster Harriers’ BT Sport-televised clash against Welling United on Wednesday in a bid to bring their concerns to a national audience.

“The feedback has been very positive,” said Griffiths. “One fan said that he had more or less given up but that the video has refuelled his hope.

“That made it worthwhile but really the aim was to get something out there which could be spread on social media— there are even clubs in the Southern League Premier that have no idea what has been going on at Edgar Street.

“In the 24 hours after the video went up, there were 6,000 views.

“It is very easy to share on social media.”

On the pitch, Hereford entertain Cambridge City today (3pm) seeking their first victory in five matches.

They are five points below Cambridge, who have failed to win any of their last six matches in all competitions.

United skipper Brad Gascoigne reckons his team have to up their game.

He said: “We have got to be a bit stronger in the tackles and man up a bit — football is a man’s game.”
