PERSHORE Town’s first match of 2015 at the Winstanley and Co King George V Stadium ended in an unlucky 1-0 defeat as they conceded in the last minute.

Ben Ashby scored the winner for eighth-placed Atherstone Town, leaving Pershore third from bottom in Midland League Division One.

Malvern Town won 6-1 at Wellington Amateurs in the West Midlands League Premier Division as did Wellington at Wednesfield.

Dave Reynolds (2), Lee Hooper (2), Jake Hollylee and Matt Turner scored for Malvern.

Division One leaders Bromyard thrashed Bartestree 7-0 and Worcester Raiders slipped 4-2 at home to Wrens Nest.

Powick Rangers beat Wolverhampton United 2-1 in Division Two, while Malvern Town under 21s lost 3-1 at Oakengates Athletic.
