THE Gloster Arms are through to the Worcester Nursing Sunday Junior Cup final after a resounding 5-1 success over Kidderminster and District League opponents Ocean Design Rangers.

Dan Stowe and Lee Hooper bagged braces and the Malvern side will play either Arrow Upton 2000 or Perrywood in the final at Malvern Town’s HDanywhere Community Stadium on Sunday, April 12.

In the McDonald’s Worcester and District League, Clifton Rovers are four points clear at the top of Division Three after a 6-3 win over Korono.

Colwall St James are in second place with Ryan Ince and Steve Rawle both scoring twice as they crushed Alumni 6-2.

Paul Fletcher and Ryan Mitchell were also on target.

Elsewhere, there were two goals for Jack Parker in Colwall Village’s 2-1 victory at Freemasons Arms.

Powick and The National Express contested a high-scoring derby between the bottom two in Division Two, which ended 3-3.

Phil Skilton, Kieran Smith and Simon Mole netted for basement boys Powick.

Mid-table Ale Madrid crashed 4-0 at Virgin Athletic. Will Lloyd was among the scorers as second-placed DM Upton beat leaders Drakes Broughton Rangers 2-1 in Division Four.

In Division Five, goals from Nick Elliott and Josh Gamble gave improving Sport Dysons a 2-1 victory over Droitwich Spa Eagles ‘A’.

The only Premier division fixture saw Kempsey win 3-2 at Droitwich Spa Eagles with Luke Duffett netting twice.

There was a hard-fought battle in the Katherine Rayer Cup quarter-final tie between Perrywood and Callow End.

Jon Mann rattled the crossbar for the villagers, who had been reduced to 10 men after Matthew Murphy received his marching orders. However, two late goals from John Pykett clinched a place in the semi-finals for Perrywood, where they will play Droitwich Spa Eagles.

The other last-four clash will be contested by Arrow Upton and Malvern Radar.

Jewson Herefordshire Sunday League Northern Division leaders Bromyard Colts won 3-0 at Bell with Matt Wargen (2) and Dean Corbett on target.

Bromyard Downs lost 4-1 at home to fellow high-fliers Shooters.

Meanwhile, title-chasing Ledbury Colts won 1-0 at Malvern Vale in The Hereford Times Herefordshire League Division Three. Striker Jamie Gladwin scored the winner after 15 minutes with a fine header from a cross by Patrick Morgan, who beat four players on the way.

Richard Thick’s young squad also squandered four one-on-one opportunities against an impressive Malvern keeper.

Second-from-bottom Vale, who were strengthened this time by several players from their Cheltenham Association League squad, lost 12-0 to Colts earlier in the season.

They visit Weston tomorrow (2.30pm).

Meanwhile, Bromyard won 2-1 at Weobley in the HJ Handley Cup quarter-finals.
