MALVERN’S The Gloster Arms need just four points from their last four games to clinch the McDonald’s Worcester and District League Sunday Division One title.

They thrashed Hallow Village 6-0 with James Abba, Stephen Brookes, David Lawrence, Dave Reynolds, Dan Stowe and Aaron Richards sharing the goals.

Arms put their promotion bid to one side on Sunday when they face Premier Division side Perrywood in the Worcester Nursing Junior Cup final at Malvern Town’s HDanywhere Community Stadium (6pm).

Vaughn Albone’s side, who are unbeaten in the league after 16 games, will return to Town’s ground on Sunday, April 26, for the Baylis Cup final against Hallow.

Meanwhile, the race for the Premier Division title looks like going to the wire with five teams in contention.

Callow End put themselves back in the frame with Sam Black scoring twice as they beat rivals Arrow Upton 2000 4-2.

Hallow can go top if they win their games in hand after Tyler Attwood and Steve Coopey were on target in a narrow 2-1 victory over Brewers Athletic.

Perrywood’s three-point deduction for playing an ineligible player earlier in the season could come back to haunt them but they crushed Kempsey 6-1 with John Pykett scoring twice.

The Hallow and Perrywood clash on May 7 could decide the title.

Malvern Radar still head the table by three points but they only have two matches left to play.

The two giants of Division Two were busy building up their goal difference before a clash on May 14, which will probably decide the destination of the title.

Perrywood Reserves annihilated Malvern’s The National Express 18-1 with Garry Price netting six times and Alan Parkinson hitting a hat-trick.

WCT Youth Raiders hammered Worcester City Wanderers 7-0 with a brace each for Jamie Insall and Richard Smith.

Kieran Deegan, Lee Flanagan and Matthew Lakey scored for Malvern’s Ale Madrid in a 3-3 draw with Virgin Athletic. In Division Three, Ryan Mitchell bagged two for Colwall St James, who beat Freemasons Arms 4-3.

Meanwhile, Jewson Herefordshire Sunday League Northern Division leaders Bromyard Colts romped to a 10-1 win at Hampton Athletic.

Tom Harding scored five goals with Dean Corbett (3) and Matthew Wargen (2) also on target.

Neil Trafford (2), Samuel Hughes and James Young fired Bromyard Downs to a 4-0 win at Tenbury Athletic.

Michael Arlott netted for Atletico Ledbury in a 7-1 Southern Division defeat at Hay.

On Saturday, Zach Blood scored as second-from-bottom Newent Town lost 3-1 at home to leaders Broadwell Amateurs in Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division One.

Newent entertain second-placed Brockworth Albion at Wildsmith Meadow tomorrow (3pm).

Carl Stevens scored twice as the reserves fell 5-3 at Lydney Town ‘A’ in North Gloucestershire Association League Division One. Redmarley beat Mushet and Coalway United 2-1.
