THERE were goals galore at Droitwich’s Pillar of Salt on the opening day of the McDonald’s Worcester and District League season where visitors Malvern Vale triumphed 10-4.

Ashley Bloore netted five for the Vale with another four from Joe Greaves, while Phil Bridges scored twice for Pillar in the Sunday Division Four clash.

Worcester Raiders Reserves also found the net 10 times with Lewis Barson bagging four and Jay Male - rian a hat-trick as they hammered Riley’s 10-1.

Jon Barber fired a treble for The Bull Inn, who beat The Bell @ Pensax Reserves 6-3.

In the only drawn game in the whole of the league, Josh Jones netted two for St Peters, who shared four goals with Tenbury Athletic.

In Division Five, newcomers Per - shore Town Eagles won 2-1 at Warndon Villages with goals from Ed McIlvenny and Dale Bridges.

Results went as expected in the Premier Division where reigning champions Perrywood beat Kempsey 4-1 with John Pykett hitting a hat-trick.

George Martin cracked a treble and Jon Mann a double as Callow End crushed Droitwich Spa Eagles 7-1.

Dave Perrera and Louis Loader both bagged a brace for Malvern Radar, who beat Brewers Athletic 4-0, and Kyonn Evans also scored twice in Hallow’s comfortable 5-1 victory at Northside.

In Division One, an entertaining game at Falcons saw the hosts defeat The Bell @ Pensax 6-3.

Brad Morton smashed a hat-trick for Falcons with Matt Turner adding a brace. Simon Hill and Elliot King were both on target for Claines, who won 2-1 at Worcester Raiders.

A nine-goal thriller at Clifton Rovers in Division Two saw visitors Hornets win 5-4.

Tom Marchment-Williams netted a hat-trick for Hornets with Josh Stafford scoring twice for Clifton.

Jack Preece was another hat-trick hero as Malvern Rangers beat Colwall St James 4-2.

Joel Hobbs and Jack Shemwell both bagged braces in Colwall Village’s 4-2 success at Ale Madrid.

There were two goals each for Leon Roberts of VBL Sports, who beat Talbot 4-1, and Joe Barrett of Drakes Broughton Rangers as they romped home 6-0 at Riverside.

In Division Three, Russ White cracked a hat-trick and Allan Robinson a brace as Five Fathers won 6-3 at Malvern Mans.

Jack Courtney netted twice in Powick’s 5-0 win at Droitwich Spa Eagles Reserves.
