DRAKES Broughton Rangers are on course for a third successive championship since entering the McDonald’s Worcester and District Football League in 2013.

Their latest success came at Malvern Rangers where they won 5-0 in Division Two.

Will Hemming scored twice with Joe Barrett, Ben Ladds and Gareth Hodgetts also on the scoresheet.

However, they face stiff opposition for the title from Colwall Village, who currently lead Rangers on goal difference at the top of the table at the halfway point of the season.

Colwall eased past Ale Madrid 6-1 with the help of four penalties.

Joel Hobbs hit a hat-trick with Ryan Shemwell, Dominic Ince and Jack Shemwell also on target.

With Fernhill Heath Athletic seemingly running away with the Division Four crown after eight successive wins, focus turned to the battle for the runners-up spot.

Worcester Raiders Reserves travelled to fellow challengers The Bull Inn in Droitwich Spa and came away with a thrilling 4-3 victory.

Leading scorer Louis Baker hit a hat-trick for Raiders to enhance his Golden Boot chances with Nick Burtoft also grabbing a treble for the Bull.

The eagerly-awaited clash at the top of the Premier division saw leaders Arrow Upton dent Hallow’s title hopes with a 3-1 win.

Dan Colburn bagged a brace with veteran Lee Seldon also finding the net for Arrow.

An entertaining match in Division One saw Hallow Village come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at St John's.

Former Birmingham City youth player Geraint James gave Saints the lead after five minutes with a neat solo goal.

The same player then sent a rasping 25-yard drive into the roof of the net after an exchange of passes with Tom Baker.

With a stiff breeze behind them, Hallow came more into the game after the interval and Saints keeper Joe Guyatt made a brilliant one-handed save from Tom Coultas-Morton.

However, he then brought Dan Berry down in the box for Kristian Baker to convert the resultant penalty.

Man-of-the-match Coultas-Morton brought the scores level with a powerful 30-yard drive.

Dan Baker then had a wonderful chance to put St John's in front again but placed his shot the wrong side of the post with only the keeper to beat.

Hallow scored what proved to be the winning goal when Kristian Baker side-footed home a cross from Mike Fellows, who himself then sent a header just over the bar.

St John's threw everything forward in search of the equaliser but Dan Baker and Gary Watkins saw efforts rebound off the woodwork.
