JOHN Mills scored a dramatic late winner as Southern League Division One South and West leaders Hereford FC beat Paulton Rovers 2-1.

Another big Edgar Street crowd of 2,033 saw Jake Sinclair open the scoring for Hereford in the 15th minute with a low drive.

Jordan Ricketts equalised from the penalty spot for Paulton in the 32nd minute after Mike McGrath tripped Elliott Gibbons.

But Mills swooped in the last minute for Hereford, who introduced new signings, former Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Calvin Dinsley and ex-Westfields forward Jamie Molyneux, from the bench.

Meanwhile, Droitwich Spa bounced back from a 2-0 defeat at Knowle in Midland League Division Two to win 4-2 at Redditch Borough under the Valley Stadium floodlights.

Luke Bowles headed Redditch in front on 20 minutes but Courtney Sowe turned Nick Seabourne’s cross into his own net to level for Spa seven minutes before half-time.

Soon after, Seabourne laid the ball off to Haydn Morris, whose 20-yard curling shot found the top corner.

Luke Molloy fired Spa 3-1 in front from a good move at the start of the second half and captain Andy Crowther netted a fourth from Jamie Smith’s corner.

Khurum Iqbal pulled a goal back for Borough but suffered a suspected broken leg in the process and play was stopped for around 30 minutes.

Malvern Town won 3-0 at county rivals Bewdley Town in the West Midlands League Premier Division.

Goals by Bryan Craven, Nathan Hayward and Reece King secured the points at Bewdley’s Ribbesford Meadow.

The goalless first half was a tight and niggly affair with players closed down quickly and play being constantly stopped.

Malvern keeper Charlie Weaver made several fine saves, while Lewis Platt went close at the other end.

Former Kidderminster Harriers keeper Darren Steadman saved from Platt in the second period but was beaten by Craven in the 58th minute from Nathan Hughes’ knock-down.

Hayward extended the lead on 77 minutes from Platt’s cross before King nodded in a late corner.
