NEW Hereford FC signing Calvin Dinsley says he never considered joining another club.

The central midfielder has returned to Edgar Street after being released by Gloucester City.

Dinsley, who played in six games for the Bulls on a loan spell earlier in the season, came off the bench for Hereford in a 4-1 win against North Leigh.

"I knew that I probably wouldn't be at Gloucester next year and I had that discussion with the manager," said Dinsley.

"The chance came up that I could go this season and I think it suited both me and Gloucester.

"I spoke to Beads and I didn't consider going anywhere else.

"I know the way the gaffer wants to play here and the fans were good to me when I was here.

"I'm just looking forward to starting a new chapter at Hereford."

Dinsley admits it was hard to break into the Gloucester first team due to various injuries he sustained.

"I didn't really get going there and was in and out of the team," said Dinsley.

"But I feel fit and strong now.

"I just want to help the team now to wrap up the league.

"I've been out for a few weeks with an injury, but I'm back training and was hoping to get involved

"It was good to finally get out there.

"It's always nice to come on where the game is almost done and you get a little bit more time on the ball, but I was just buzzing to get out there and get some minutes."

Hereford manager Pete Beadle said it was an ideal time to bring Dinsley on when his side were 3-1 up.

"I thought that it was important to try and get him involved at some point if we could," he said.

"He had 15 minutes at the end and he looked bright."
