HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle believes last night's rearranged game at Didcot Town should not have been played.

The two sides had to face each other again after the intitial game was abandoned with two minutes remaining.

Hereford were 2-1 up in that match and ironicially beat Didcot by the same scoreline last night.

"I thought it was the wrong decision especially after the FA decided that no club was at fault for the trouble and they had a player and coach banned for five and four games," said Beadle.

"It was very quiet not having the fans there, but the players showed they have great resolve and character by coming from behind."

Martin Horsell had a rare appearance in goal for Hereford, while Jake Sinclair also started.

Beadle explains that Horsell needs surgery on a shoulder injury.

"Because he has played in the Football League he will get backing from the PFA," said Beadle.

"He is ok to play if he doesn't get a whack on it.

"Alex [Harris] has come in and done well but with the title won, I thought it was an ideal time for Martin to come in before he has his surgery."

Beadle was also pleased with how Sinclair played.

"I thought he looked lively when he came on Saturday," said Beadke.

"Tristan [Plummer] tweaked his knee on Saturday, so it was right to give Jake a chance.

"I thought he did enough to keep his place and Jamie Molyneux has also done well for us.

"So Pablo [Haysham] ended up say in the bench."
