HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle felt his team were 'absolutely brilliant' today.

The Bulls totally dominated against Evesham United and ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Pablo Haysham and John Mills.

Beadle was highly critical of his team following a disappointing 2-2 draw against Barnstaple Town on Saturday.

But he said he couldn't fault them today.

"The frustrating thing for us though is why does it take that sort of conversation and that passion for me for them to play like it?" asked Beadle.

"And it's pure mentality.

"No disrespect to Barnstaple or Wantage but I felt the players didn't show them enough respect because of who they are and where they are.

"We came unstuck against them a little bit, but today, you cannot fault them, I thought they were superb.

"It was a massive team effort and I am so proud of the lads reacting in the way they that they did."

Beadle added that he agreed with what Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder told his players after the Blades clinched the League One title.

"He told them that they were champions, but wanted them to perform in exactly the same way," said Beadle.

"And that is exactly what we're asking.

"They have set the standards and it's been a remarkable season so far.

"We have give the whole season unbeaten away from home and haven't lost since the Highgate game in August 2015, which is phenomenal."
