BISHOP'S Stortford are reporting that they will take Worcester City's place in the Southern Premier Division next season.
The Hertfordshire side hoped they would stay in the Isthmian League, but Worcester's demotion to the Midland League Premier Division has led to a re-shuffle in the step three leagues.
They now have seven days to appeal the FA's decision, with their board meeting next week.
"The club had hoped to play in the Isthmian League next season, with considerably less travel and derby games against the likes of Harlow Town and Billericay Town," reads a Bishop's Stortford statement.
"Instead we’ll travel to Frome, Hereford, Tiverton Town and Merthyr Town as well as former Conference South rivals Dorchester Town.
"Blues have again fallen victim to another club’s financial problems, with Worcester City’s drop into the Midland League leading to a reshuffle."
It is understood that the provisional Southern Premier Division is...
