HANLEY Swan thrashed Tewkesbury Town Reserves 7-2 in Cheltenham League Division Two with the help of a hat-trick from Adam Webb.

Luke Duffett had an effort well saved by the Town keeper before controlling a long free-kick from Dan Rawlings and setting up Webb to smash the ball into the net.

Hanley continued to play good football and went two up midway through the half when Ryan Kendrick scored direct from a corner.

Rawlings then kept the home side's lead intact with a fine save.

Minutes later, Hanley went further ahead when new signing Jack Humphreys turned well in the box and hit the ball home.

Against the run of play, Town broke and scored with a low drive into the bottom corner to make it 3-1.

Rawlings then made another good save before Kevin Moore controlled a free-kick and hit the ball into the net to give Hanley a 4-1 half-time lead.

The second half saw Hanley playing into the strong wind and Town created a few early chances but within five minutes a good cross from James Holloway was touched in by Webb to increase the lead.

Minutes later, a cross from Moore was well controlled by James Moule and he set up Webb to complete his hat-trick.

Rawlings made a fine double save to keep Town out.

With five minutes to go, Moore picked up the ball and made an excellent run evading several tackles to slot the ball home.

Town scored a late consolation goal to make the final result 7-2.
