Rampant Malvern fire home 17 in rampant victory

THE Worcestershire FA Sunday Minor Cup second round saw an amazing scoreline at Forest Rangers where visitors Malvern Town romped home 17-0.

Jim Wilks netted seven, Andy Lancett added four more and there were hat-tricks for Nick Lancett and James Allen against the Kidderminster and District League strugglers.

Fellow Worcester and District League outfit VBL Sports Reserves also went through with James Sliwa grabbing the only goal of their tie with Ferndale.

Goals from Dan Stowe, Steve Nolan and Aaron Griffiths gave Malvern Rangers a 3-1 victory over Great Western Rangers.

In the Sunday Premier Cup, Kevin Brookes cracked a hat-trick for Perrywood who won 5-2 at Harriers Trust.

Rob Sinclair notched both goals in Callow End’s 2-1 victory at Bromsgrove outfit Meadow Park.

A single strike from Dan Berry put Hallow Village through against Golden Lion Athletic.

VBL Sports reached the last 16 of the Sunday Junior Cup with Devon Smith and David Eade both bagging braces in their 4-1 success at Evesham’s Cider Mill.

Smith also scored twice as VBL progressed to the quarter-finals of the Saturday Minor Cup, crushing Badsey United 5-1 with Andy Cornes also recording a double.
