SAM Berry has swapped Ledbury Swifts for Wolverhampton Wanderers after signing for the club’s ladies squad.
Berry, who turns 18 this weekend, originally started her carer at Ledbury Swifts when she was nine. This season she has secured a place at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
She lined-up for the Swifts until she was 14 and was then spotted and approached to play at the Kidderminster Harriers Centre of Excellence for the next two years.
This was followed by a season at West Bromwich Albion she has now secured a spot in the ladies and Under 18s squad at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Ladies football is not heavily sponsored and all of the players are required to obtain funds to support their team. Berry, who scored two goals for Wolves in her last game for the u18s, has received sponsorship from a number of local businesses for her first season at the club.
Her local sponsors include Interlink Express Hereford, Malvern Hills Furniture, South Hereford Garages, Mark Atkins Associates, Hills Number Plates Ltd and her original club Ledbury Swifts.
