MANOR Park Travellers enjoyed a 9-1 win over Ledbury Lions in Paperstation Malvern Table Tennis League Division One.

Maximums from Craig Preece and Toby Wren were backed by Martin Snee with two victories, while Richard Smith replied for Lions.

Manor Park Express and Ledbury Rovers drew 5-5 with two wins each for Dave Woodyatt and Pete Griffiths.

They also took the doubles against Ady Marshall and James Dance.

Marshall won his three singles for Rovers with Dance and Bob Marshall claiming one victory each.

Poolbrook Dynamos continued their fine start to the Division Two season with a 9-1 victory against Nomads.

Maximums from Geoff Burford and John Phillips were joined by Steve Mulka with two successes and Nomads replied through Dave Hayes.

Scuttling Gang beat Tornados 9-1 with three wins each for Ray Davies and Richard McKenna, supported by Bill Smith’s two. Dominic Weston hit back for Tornados.

Crackpots ‘E’ defeated Crackpots ‘D’ 7-3 with a treble for Matt Hodges, two wins for Dave Steen and one for Ed Palmer. Stewart Moss (2) and Bob Rhodes were successful for the ‘D’ team.

Manor Park Wanderers saw off Upton 6-4 thanks to maximums from Stan Mason and Charlie Burford.

Roger Davies, Peter Quy and Howard Bentham replied.

Davies and Bentham also enjoyed a straight-set doubles win over Mason and Burford.

Poolbrook Rangers defeated Crackpots ‘B’ 8-2 in Division Three through a maximum from Pete Nash, supported by Bob Weston and Phil Smethurst with two each.

Ted Cates and Alan Eldridge replied with single wins for Crackpots.

X Police kept up their title bid with a 9-1 victory over Manor Park Crackpots, helped by three wins for James Mulka and Steve Mulka supported by Alan Preece (2), while Stephen Lindner replied.

Abbeydowne defeated Poolbrook Panthers 6-4 with a maximum from Niels Eriksson and two from Chris Burrows.

They also combined to take the doubles, while Collette James (2), Ian Sage and Dina Murdie countered for Panthers. Newcomers Bromyard Hopefuls maintained their unbeaten start with a narrow 6-4 win over Devils, with Ed Tinton taking three wins and David Gwilt two.

They also won the crucial doubles against Liz Hallam and Ralph Cook.

Hallam (2), Cook and Pete Harding replied with triumphs for Devils.
