MALVERN College hosted a lively indoor hockey tournament to celebrate their 150th anniversary.

Bromsgrove School, Repton School and Cheltenham College competed for honours along with the hosts.

Results were close in hard-fought matches and the day proved a resounding success with a high standard of hockey on show.

The match of the day was played between Malvern College and Repton, resulting in a thrilling 5-5 draw.

The tournament winners on goal difference by just one from the home side were Repton with both schools finishing on seven points.

Cheltenham managed three points and Bromsgrove failed to get off the mark.

Malvern’s Hebe Vosper-Brown was awarded the player of the tournament accolade.

Former Malvern College pupil Tony Henman, the England hockey veteran and father of former British tennis ace Tim, awarded the prizes.
