HANLEY Swan trainer David Dennis’ Roman Flight fell at the last fence in the Cheltenham Festival’s Vincent O’Brien County Handicap Hurdle.

The seven-year-old, priced at 50-1 and ridden by Noel Fehily, could not impact on the race, which was won by the Willie Mullins-trained Wicklow Brave (25-1).

But Dennis followed up the disappointment with wins at Uttoxeter and Taunton.

Doctor Phoenix (5-2 favourite) claimed the Betfred ‘Racing’s Biggest Supporter’ ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle at Uttoxeter under jockey Gavin Sheehan by a head.

Five-year-old Marju’s Quest (3-1) teamed up with Fehily to win the Bathwick Tyres Bridgwater Handicap Hurdle at Taunton by five lengths.

The Dennis-trained Final Nudge (15-8) was second in the Bathwick Tyres Midsomer Norton ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Somerset venue.

Wade Harper (6-1) was also second at Haydock in his first National Hunt run in the ApolloBet Online Casino Standard Open NH Flat Race.
