A WARM evening saw 17 riders compete in VC Sevale’s time trial on the 10-mile Severn Stoke course.

The eventual winner was home rider William Davies, with a personal best time of 22 minutes 17 seconds.

Worcester’s Martin Lines was three seconds slower in second place with Sevale’s Jez Pile third, despite being held up by a slow-moving tractor.

Sevale’s next event is their taster time trial.

Anyone who is interested in finding out what it is like to ride up against the clock is invited to join the club for their 5.5-mile race on Tuesday.

The route is around the flat, fast Hanley Swan course, with signing-on taking place on the village green from 6.15pm.

Club riders will be available to offer encouragement and advice and are looking forward to meeting the next Bradley Wiggins or Victoria Pendleton.
