THE first Leagues4you summer netball tournament was hosted by Dyson Perrins Academy in Malvern.
Players from all over the West Midlands took part in the all-day competition to win the prize of a team twilight package at The Malvern Spa.
Seventeen teams tackled a group stage round with the top eight progressing to the quarter-finals.
The last local teams to be knocked out were Malvern Springs and Vixens from Worcester, who both bowed out in the semis.
The final saw Ryland, from Bromsgrove, beat Dolphins, from Birmingham, to be crowned tournament champions.
League coordinator Charlotte Waugh said: “Leagues4you are extremely proud of how successful the day was.
“It had a festival atmosphere with music playing and teams setting up picnics around the courts. We also had a mixed netball showcase match.
“It was so great to see Premiership teams playing in the same competition as our local fun league teams. It was an inspiring experience for all.”
