MALVERN Joggers headed to the Welsh borders for their latest challenges.

Six members completed Darren’s Dash, a popular and scenic hill race of around six miles organised by Wye Valley Runners from Longtown, Herefordshire, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The challenging course took in farmland tracks, open countryside and crossed the border into Wales, taking runners up a steep ridge to stunning scenery before descending along Offa’s Dyke Path.

The first Jogger home was Andrew Milton in 57 minutes 53 seconds followed by Julie Caseley (one hour two minutes three seconds), Mike Anstey (1.08.13), Chris Jolley (1.08.14), Amanda Duncan (1.14.00) and Lynda Broadway (1.19.07).

Nineteen Joggers took on the Magic Roundabout, a 10-kilometre multi-terrain race organised by Hay Hotfooters Running Club, the following day.

The course was challenging with a steep ascent and stunning views over surrounding countryside.

Chris Smallman was first Jogger home and claimed the men’s veterans over 50s first prize in 43.37, while Caseley finished first women’s veteran over 55 in 55.23.

Other Joggers competing were Trevor Matty (47.56), Megan Judge (48.22), Milton (50.22), John Bryan (51.52), Mark Seyler (51.55), Ian Walwyn (53.19), Ewelina Skolimowska (53.44), Andrew Brown (53.51), Carl Flint (54.56), Duncan (56.51), Steve Roode (58.25), Andrew Banham (59.41), Anstey (1.00.50), Ben Toon (1.03.17), Vivian Tolley (1.05.11), Broadway (1.05.59) and Sarah Lane (1.09.31).
