SCORES of would-be hotshots enjoyed a have-a-go day run by the Lugg Valley Company of Archers.

The club, who have members from the Ledbury area, took over the fields of Mordiford Primary School in support of Archery GB’s big weekend.

Lugg Valley’s Sarah Blenkinsop, of Aylton, said: “Our local archery club was one of 80 participating clubs nationwide and all manner of people came to Mordiford to give archery a go.

“It was great to see so many people come and have a go at archery. We had a wonderful day sharing our passion for archery at our beautiful venue.

“Our beginners had loads of fun. They shot more than 200 arrows between them and we now have several people keen to join one of our beginners’ courses.”
