Upton Rowing Club’s women’s Masters E quad beat City of Swansea Rowing Club to win at the Monmouth Regatta
PIPPA Riddle lost her novice status after helping her Upton Rowing Club crew defeat the City of Swansea Rowing Club at the Monmouth Regatta.
Riddle was part of the victorious women’s Masters E quad with Jo Hammett, Trish Scorer and Linda Scott. There was also success for the men’s Masters C quad of Stuart Edney, Adam Checkley, Richard Gill and John Eaton who defeated Old Monmouthians RC.
The Masters E quad of Maurice Stanley, Andrew Scott, Steven Thrush and Keith Spencer had a convincing win in their semi-final, but lost against a strong crew from Llandaf RC in their final.
Upton are in action at this weekend’s Hereford Regatta.
