TWO members of The Worcestershire excelled in Northern Ireland when they competed in the 50th Causeway Coast Amateur Golf Tournament.
Patrick McIlroy and Sam MacLeod took part in the event which comprised of four rounds at Portrush, Ballylifffin, Ballycastle and Castlerock golf clubs.
The duo were among 530 players who came from all over the world to compete, but endured challenging weather conditions.
McIlroy played very steady golf all week to finish in seventh place on 139 stableford points, only three points behind the eventual winner.
Sam MacLeod came 17th on 135 points, but the pair were delighted to finish in the top 20 as they managed to avoid the rough and sink crucial putts.
