FIFTEEN Malvern Joggers' runners travelled the short distance to support the Evesham Festive 10k.

The scenic, multi-terrain, off-road route was around the lanes and orchards by Evesham United Football Club.

It was held in aid of charity Children With Cancer and more than £4,000 was raised.

The weather was cold and wet and part of the course was muddy.

Runners completed one-and-a-half laps of the football field before heading out over the River Isbourne and then returning.

The first Jogger to finish was Nic Dauncey in 46 minutes 26 seconds followed by Ian Walwyn (51.55 for first MV60), Warwick Taylor (52.11), Kareen Mann (52.15 for first FV55), Jon Newey (52.16), Andrew Gallagher (52.57), Julie Caseley (55.26), Steve Roode (57.19), Mike Anstey (57.53), Julia Heron (59.05), Rhian Protheroe (one hour six minutes 57 seconds), Lynda Broadway (1.06.58), Vivien Tolley (1.07.47), Emily Pascoe (1.17.21) and Emily Seyler (1.35.35).

Joggers' Ian Fuller was in Portsmouth doing the Coastal Waterside Marathon running from South Parade Pier to the end of the Hayling Billy Line and back.

The multi-terrain marathon with fine views across Langstone Harbour was in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Fuller finished in 4.29.05.
