THIRTEEN Malvern Joggers runners travelled the relatively short distance to Rotherwas for the fourth out of five Herefordshire Cross-country Winter League races hosted by Hereford Triathlon Club. 

On a dry, cloudy but cool day, runners tackled three laps of a flat course with a stretch along the banks of the River Wye and only small sections of mud.

First Jogger home was Nic Dauncey in 44 minutes 51 seconds followed by Simon Richardson (46.48), Andrew Brown (52.45), Ian Fuller (53.33), Catherine Martin (53.46), Ian Walwyn (54.07), Steve Roode (54.21), Roy Hart (56.24), Julie Caseley (one hour 24 seconds), Helen Reid (1.02.49), Kay Chambers (1.09.24), Viv Tolley (1.11.11) and Sue Lewis (1.17.42).

Lynda Broadway and Mike Anstey tackled one of their toughest marathons yet with the Endurance Life on Anglesey which included plenty of climbing.

Broadway finished in 6.57.17 for third in her age category while Anstey's 6.57.10 secured first in his group.

In round three of the DirtRun Winter Warrior Series at Baggeridge Country Park, the 10-kilometre route involved two laps of a course.

Dave Green finished 15th in 56.21 while John Bryan did 58.04 for 20th place.

In the Gloucester half-marathon, Megz Judge made a last-minute decision to compete and ran a one minute 50 second personal best of 1.32.09.
